Jeannie Jo is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and visual artist. Her award-winning films and artworks have been shown in festivals and galleries around the world.
Her short film TAMPOON, a "festival-rocking horror comedy" (ComingSoon.net) about a possessed tampon that eats a woman's noncommittal boyfriend, played at the Slamdance Film Festival and has won awards at the Scream Queens FilmFest, the Hollywood Comedy Short Film Festival, and SF Indie Fest's Another Hole in the Head for its "6 minutes of comedic strangeness" (JoBlo.com). Her second short film PUNCH ME premiered at the Seattle International Film Fest and won Best Action Short at the Bloodstained Indie Film Fest in Tokyo.
She has an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and a PhD from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.
